Aubsylodon tooth

Pterygotus

Recommended Posts

This is being sold as an aubsylodon tooth with partial root (which I’m not sure is even possible as the genus is apparently only recognized with one premaxilla tooth. How does it look?

Aublysodon is not valid. It's either Gorgosaurus sp. or Daspletosaurus sp. Does indeed look like a premax Tyrannosaurid tooth.

Not so long ago un-serrated Tyrannosaurid premaxillary teeth were identified has Aublysodon, it was a tooth taxon.  We now have a better understanding that this morphology is found in other tyrannosaurids and not a unique species, why its not a valid species any longer.
