John S.
Been a long time, finally got out for a bit and found my 3rd Plesiosaur vert along with some others. Also the first snake encounter of the season. This guy was only a few feet long. 49 degrees with 20 mph winds. Warmer days ahead! Kato
Your trip report looks like the cold and wet version of a warm&dry excursion I recently made (without fossil invertebrates) and was going to write-up...I'l defer that to another time thought you might find this link to projectile points found in Texas to be interesting http://www.projectilepoints.net/Search/Texas_Search.html Yours is of the stemmed variety. According to the site, some of the more archaic points are close to 9,000 years old. It's amazing to me how remarkably durable these points are surviving through the ages so intact.
