You are right - as soon as they learned that Sara was on her way, I noticed an increased number of secret gatherings connected with a lot of whispering, not to mention that I have already seen some high-percentage beverages disappearing in a mysterious way... I'm guessing the farewell party will be quite a thing....
Kasia
Sara woke up quite late - no wonder, after such a long journey She asked me to show her around the house, and she paid particular attention to the large house plants At first I was happy that Sara also enjoys a little greenery around, until I heard her murmur "This one looks delicious".
Kasia
Sara saw my long face, so she asked if I was really attached to my plants. As I confirmed, she decided to to spare them and instead was happy to be presented with a big bag of various salads which she finished in a blink of an eye Now she is resting and chatting with the dino bunch
Kasia
Today was a relaxed day for Sara - first she decided to join me for a mindfulness training online: All the exercises presented during the session were so appealing that Sara immediately decided to put them into practise and went outdoors to relax and enjoy autumn sun and nature: She was persuaded to come back indoors only when I mentioned the trip that we intend to do - of course each of the local cousins had their own ideas about potential locations: After a heated discussion Sara chose the destination of our trip Stay tuned, we set off tomorrow !

Kasia
Dear Sara followers, here comes the next episode of the World Travelling Dino On Saturday we started quite early to go to Nasiłów, a Cretaceous site located in a very pretty place at the bank of the Vistula River, app. 120 km to the south - east from Warsaw. To get to the quarry, you need to follow a small ravine If you look under your feet, you can see that the direction is right
Kasia
When you get to the quarry, there is a nice view of the valley The quarry itself looks like this:
Kasia
The dino bunch has immediately started browsing the rubble however the majority of fossils they found are only steinkerns.
Kasia
The quarry has 3 levels:
Kasia
Sara (and the local cousins) enjoyed a lot beautiful weather and kept indicating fossils
Kasia
We went down to the lower level: but it didn't really change much in the aspect of finds
Kasia
Since the results of our search were so disappointing, we had a brief discussion, what's next and the conclusion was that we should continue with the next items in the itinerary. So, we visited the 16th century castle in Janowiec - one of the biggest Renaissance castles in this region: It is famous for the facade with white and red stripes designed by the Italian architect Sara went inside to admire the remains and listen to the history of several reconstructions
Kasia
We also stopped by a nearby manor, which Sara liked a lot mainly because of the abundance of food available
Kasia
After a bit of history and culture, we proceeded to cross the Vistula River in a manner which I quite like - namely using a little local ferry Our next site is right at the other side of the river - it's the quarry in Kazimierz Dolny As I was transporting such a VIP as Sara, we were offered the first place in a row on a ferry
Kasia
The Kazimierz quarry is quite overgrown with various shrubs and also has a few levels - this time we were climbing up The quarry is full of orange-coloured stuff (mainly sponges), which kept attracting Sara's attention We kept climbing
Kasia
until we got to the highest level, from which we had a beautiful view of the Vistula River and the Nasiłów quarry as well as the castle we have just visited The top level was a bit more "uncovered" and Sara insisted I should have a closer look at the strange orange stuff
Kasia
We decided to take one of the "orange stuff" home, and here it is A close-up - maybe anyone knows what that is?
