Tidgy's Dad
I am quite happy to play what you lot will think is the villain here. "oh, it's only a toy". I can only imagine how this makes you feel. I do not see you as a villian. You were a very good friend to Doren, and the fact that this was his pet project makes this more difficult. I am sorry. Please keep in mind, thoughtlessness does not equate to evil. I am sure it was an unintended mistake, that none the less, is terrible for those who knew Doren. 1 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM - APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." snolly50
It may help everyone to picture her running free, chomping vegetation with zest; and perhaps even encountering a handsome male of her ilk. Beyond that, there are some excellent insights above. I also believe that under such a circumstance, Doren could be relied upon to supply a perspective of laughter. 8 hours ago, dinosaur man said: I honestly feel like a horrible person! Dinosaur man has apologised and will amend an honest mistake. Please show some grace and let this go. We will all make mistakes and we must be able to own up to them without being called names. I’m afraid that language like this only makes it more likely that mistakes will go unmentioned in the future. What matters is that this wonderful tradition continues, not whether our travelling friend is a Sara or a Simon.

Those of you that have had the pleasure of visiting with Sara, maybe search the internet for a replacement just like her. Your knowledge of her size, shape, and texture can hopefully find a likely replacement, allowing this tribute for Doren to continue. Even though I have yet to have the privilege of meeting her, I have begun searching with my limited knowledge. @dinosaur man, mistakes happen. From my perspective, it could have happen to anyone, not just limited to you. You have my deepest sympathy. Not only was it tough to tell us about the loss. But then to have to endure the reaction by Forum Members. I for one am embarrassed by your treatment. Mike You're right Mike, let's do it. Maybe we should start a thread "Find a Sara Look Alike" with the approval of the Forum Moderators. I would put up a package of fossils to the person that can most mimic Sara. Give members until the end of April?? Any thoughts? @Tidgy's Dad, Adam, your opinion means a lot and would like to here from you . Fossildude19
I think we need to table this discussion for a bit. I am locking this topic until we can find some way to continue on. All motor vehicles are prohibited and even camels are too big for our streets. Donkeys and horses are possible in about half of them. My rubbish is taken away every morning by a couple of donkeys. Dinosaur Man told me the postal service said up to two months! I suggested that he posted that info here just to keep everyone informed.............. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
