I'd be quite surprised it would take that long.

Usual transit time: 10 days (economy). Usual transit time: 5 - 7 business days (priority).

Most of the parcels which have been sent over to me from the American continent have taken about 3 weeks, so these ones are a week overdue already.

That is odd... I can definitely understand delays during the holidays.

Hopefully Dinosaur Man got parcel tracking and can give you that tracking number. I see getting a tracking number as a must when sending anything overseas.

I tend to track things that are worth things that are worth over £30 or have sentimental value. Tracking parcels can be a lot more expensive though so I can understand why dinosaur man hasn’t done so, shame its going to take so long though

I have had a couple of parcels come by boat from Canada that was heavy and they took between  2 and 3 months . If Sara luggage is getting heavy maybe she need to leave some behind on her next visit?  Just a thought

Just to let you know that the first parcel has arrived at customs today. A friendly and helpful customs official was willing to clear things up on the phone for me and he'll be sending it on to me next week. Then I can study and weigh the contents and we can decide what to do next if necessary.

My internet hasn’t been the best so this is a bit late but while we wait for Sara to make her way to her next destination I’d thought I’d share some photos.

Sara looks very content among your fossil pieces.

The first parcel with Sara's luggage and the diary has finally arrived. The weight is fine, so we don't need to reduce the contents. Kaleb informed me recently however that it may still take a couple of weeks before Sara herself arrives, so please be patient.

  • 2 weeks later...

SARA HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay-smiley-1:

We were just in the middle of lunch when the doorbell rang, so she missed out on the salad. But there was some tasty vegetarian pizza available and after a few careful sniffs, she dug in voraciously. She was needless to say VERY hungry after her extended trip from Canada.

She also arrived just at the right time, since two of my grandchildren celebrate their birthdays on the same day, which is today. So we've invited her to come along to the party and join in on the festivities and maybe even get a piece of birthday cake. We'll be leaving in a few minutes, so talk to ya later.
