Hi there folks,

I recently received this lot as gift, but it came with no ID.

Is it possible to get an ID from this pic? They are all from Morroco.

Thanks in advance.

I believe they come from an extinct shark referred to as a mackerel shark, aka Otodus Obliquus. I could be wrong (I am relative newbie.), but they seem to be the most common tooth coming out of Morocco. Nice gift, and a great start to a collection. Cheers.

Thank you guys.

Yes, my main concern is if there are one or more species represented by these teeth...

@Troodon has posted this link to Moroccan teeth before and it is fantastic for comparison and ID of teeth from the area. Worth your time.

Dang, missed it by thaaaaat much. It seems to me, and my memory isn't what it once wished it was, that the sand-tigers I'd seen had double cusps. (Yup, that was the case.) Or perhaps that's the Otudus that do? I'll check out Troodon's Moroccan write-up. Cheers.
