Middle Turonion, "kamp Ranch", What Is This?

About 1 inch or 2 cm long.

This is upper cretaceous middle turonian (Eagle Ford / Kamp Ranch) from Denton Co, TX.

The first one I found I didn't collect. But now I have found a few. The one pictured below is the thickest.

I've seen little clam molds like that where the valves have split apart and they look like little moon pies.

Gave it some more thought, I am betting these are internal molds of individual chambers of an ammonite. This layer does not preserve ammonite shell material.
