Hard to tell from that photo. Need sharper images if you can...include a view looking directly down at the top of the tooth so we can see the chewing surface....

Thanks.

First, welcome to TFF!! Glad to have another South Florida member on the forum.

As Chris mentioned above (while I was typing), you are going to need to take a clearer photo for us to give a decent guess. It's difficult to make IDs purely from images without the specimen in hand and a clear, well-lit and focused image is really necessary for us to have a chance at a proper ID. Smart phones tend to have issues on where they focus--you'll have to do your best to get it focused. In an angled photo like the one above, your camera focused just a bit past the object so it is overly blurry. It usually helps to take the photo outside in bright light (but not necessarily full sun). The sun is a much brighter light source than any lamp inside and will allow a clearer photo. You probably can't take a decent outside photo tonight but try again tomorrow. You say the item is about 1/2" but including a ruler for scale makes it easier for someone to notice the size.

Let's see what kind of opinions we get when we can see the tooth clearer. Photos from multiple sides would be useful as well if it shows different aspects of the specimen.

Cheers.

-Ken
