"Do you know what it is" I asked the old timer sitting among a collection of tools and plywood tables... "That's a dinosaur bone, I bought it years ago." He wanted $40. We settled for $25. I told him after I bought it that is was actually a mammoth tooth, showed him the enamel sticking through and thanked him for the purchase. All of my mammoth teeth come from the Peace River here in Florida and require no clean-up as they are generally devoid of any matrix. Would love to see photos of this one if you manage to get it cleaned-up and freed from some of the matrix that is hanging on.
