Tannerd1717
Found another fossil? At my work place parking lot, glanced down and saw it. Looks like some kind of coral maybe? It's about 2 inches by 1 inch.

Mark Kmiecik
Assuming it's a fossil and not geological, I'm thinking it's a sponge, but I can't id genus or species. 2 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

Alright, as I said I noticed it and wasnt quite sure if it was a fossil or not. Theres a lot of stuff in the parking lot that I'm not sure are fossil or not. Thanks for the reply. I have found some good specimens in parking lots. Edited April 6, 2019 by Mark Kmiecik 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them! Rule of thumb: If you're not sure, take it home to figure out! If you figure it isn't a fossil, it's still a cool rock. 2 I refuse to give up my childish wonder at the world.
