Recommended Posts

Found these plant fossils along with calamities.  Need help in identifying.  Found in north Texas in the Mingus Formation, Pennsylvanian, along a river bed.   Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Neat pieces. I believe the first is Stigmaria, the second looks like  Artesia, and the third doesn't look to be identifiable beyond generic woody plant matter.

I 2nd the IDs...last one almost looks like sigillaria/syringodendron but its too far gone, especially for this novice...

Cool finds! Regards, Chris

Agree with the IDs, only it should be spelled Artisia.
