Newbie here- what is this?

Hi all! 

 

I was fossil hunting yesterday and came across this mysterious piece. Being new, I am not 100% sure what it is but I believe it's a joint of a mammal... possibly camel or horse? It's only an inch and a half or so tall. I was wondering if someone could identify it for me?

The lighting is making it a little tough to tell, but it almost looks like the patellar surface of a femur. Others who are more into verts can help more and will certainly weigh in.

Thanks!! I can get better pictures tonight. I was looking up horse and camel scaphoids which look pretty similar.
