ynot
Because claw cores are bone and there is no bone texture showing in the broken end-- I go with a suggestive shaped rock. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My Fossil collection - My Mineral collection My favorite thread on TFF. hndmarshall
yea i too did not see a bony structure but the graininess of the object in question was throwing me off ...thanks i can put it in my growing pile of fossnots and look likes! Plantguy
Im leaning biological. Can you retake the photos with the specimen lying flat and not being held? I think the camera is focusing on your hand and not the specimen. I think I see sloping parallel lines when I zoom in on the end view and there also appears to be a different irregular wavey/orb like structure--boney texture? in the other area I circled...could be geologic but I'd like to see sharper detail if possible.
