The view in the last photo looks like the front of an axis vertebra of a bovid.

it certainly looks fossilized to me, which would mean possible later formations around this region?

It is fossilized, so....  And pardon my ignorance, but how far back do bovids go?  (they're mammals, yes?  cows, buffalo, etc.?)  Thanks for the feedback!

 From the early Pleistocene . Sorry I can’t help any more than this.
