Thanks guys, I use 3DS Max to make a preliminary model, than take it to ZBrush and add details and colors. When working in ZBrush I use Wacom tablet and pen, but not the fancy one. After that I take the model and textures from ZBrush back to 3DS Max, rig the model and animate it. I am not sure how to explain in a few words the rigging process... You create bones inside the body mesh for all movable parts and apply Skin modifier after to set the bones influence upon the mesh. I don't use Skin though, I use Bones pro - it is much faster and easier.
