Saturated-Sam
I do not have a lot of experience buying insect fossils and was wondering if this ancestor to the modern dragonfly fossil is real?
gigantoraptor
Fake, I don't think there is any real fossil part in here. There are no veins on the wings, the eyes are weird etc...
Tidgy's Dad
Really bad fake. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Mark Kmiecik
Very, very bad fake! Insect wings are a mirror image of each other left and right. The pattern should be identical. These aren't even vaguely close. I do love the eyeballs, though. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them! Herb
cool looking fake 1 "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"_ Carl Sagen No trees were killed in this posting......however, many innocent electrons were diverted from where they originally intended to go. Mark Kmiecik
Also, this would be more like a damselfly. Dragonfly wings are more robust and overlap slightly front to back. Mark. Pemphix
Looks fake. Some info on the location it should came from ? Question is because if you know the location you can compare with real ones from the location.... Lot of forgers do not care about such details...
