I do not have a lot of experience buying insect fossils and was wondering if this ancestor to the modern dragonfly fossil is real?

Fake, I don't think there is any real fossil part in here. There are no veins on the wings, the eyes are weird etc...

Very, very bad fake! Insect wings are a mirror image of each other left and right. The pattern should be identical. These aren't even vaguely close. I do love the eyeballs, though.

Also, this would be more like a damselfly. Dragonfly wings are more robust and overlap slightly front to back.

Looks fake.

Some info on the location it should came from ?

Question is because if you know the location you can compare with real ones from the location.... 

Lot of forgers do not care about such details...
