Northeast Arkansas fossil needs ID.

This fossil comes from Northeast Arkansas lower part of the Ozark uplift.Map says Lower Ordovician but don,t thank that is right.An ID would be great.Thanks.

If I were to guess I'd go with a fragment of a horn coral. It's a toughie.

I have seen quartz form structures like this with feldspar crystals running parallel to them. Could that be something like this with the feldspar weathered away?

It probably is coral but I wonder if it could possibly be some type of plant fossil.

Look at the second image under magnification. Especially the half on the right. I'm not seeing plant.

Ok I was just thinking of all the possibilities .I will log this one as coral at this time.

I do want to thank all that helped in this ID.I even know a little about barnacles now.
