Manticocerasman
Today we had a fieldtrip organised by our local paleontology club to one of the quarries of Soignies in Belgium. Here they exploit the dense limestone full with crinoid particles. Althought the weather forcast predicted rain, we had a very beautyful and dry day Natalie made her best find after 10 minutes in the quarry, she spotted a huge Helodus sp. tooth in the rubble. the rest of the prospection that day delivered a few trilobite parts, isolated pygidiums and cephalons for us, but a few lucky collectors did fint complete specimens. We had also the oportunity to meet an other TFF member @gigantoraptor 8 growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional.
Natalie81
This is the Helodus tooth I found today. It is still encrusted with some sediments, but it will probably be relatively easy to prepp, the sediment is realy soft. better pictures will folow once it is cleaned up.
gigantoraptor
It was a very interesting day. I met a lot cool people including you two. Finds were a bit dissapointing for me, but the talks and the beautiful weather made up for that. Seeing the pictures of Natalie's shark tooth, I think I might have found a partial one also. Will look at that later.

Jeffrey P
Congratulations to you and Natalie on the Helodus tooth and the really cool trilobite pygiidium. Carboniferous shark teeth and trilobite remains are pretty uncommon here. Thanks for posting.

It was given to me by some very friendly neighbours. It's Fenestella. Not that rare of a find, but waaay bigger than the ones I found. The I liked the most was this one. It shows two partial trilobites. They will probably be incomplete, but there might be some more hidden in the rock. Also like it since it's the first piece I used paraloid on. Thanks @Natalie81 for the advise. I surely enjoyed the day.
