Malcolmt
I was very fortunate to attend the Penn Dixie Dig with Experts event this past weekend. If you ever get the chance to go it is a don't miss event. I only collected on Friday but did come away with 10 complete bugs for myself. Saturday and Sunday I was there to try to help people as best I could. I know I cut out so many incredible bugs and multi plates for people that my back is still sore from bending down.. Here is a real gem over two inches long that was found by one of the American collectors who traveled up from Kentucky. Here is the bug as he found it.` Here it is at the beginning of prep back in my lab with a bit of the matrix already scribed off.
Malcolmt
Here it is after about an hour of prep. The bug was obviously one of the better ones to be found that weekend, somehow it end up making the trip up to Canada. The bug was perfect except for a damaged pleura, the first on the left. In the next pic that pleura has been repaired and the bug is essentially complete except for a final cleanup once the repair media has set overnight.

BLT
I’m wondering if this is just one very long horn coral or is it two?

That's the Bay View Coral bed material, and when you can keep it all together, it's truly amazing the things that are in it. Certainly home to many long corals, and like you see lower in the image, crinoids. Nice find! 1 Jay A. I always get excited whenever I find a fossil intact, instead of the usual bits and pieces in the hash plates.
