Which type of glue do you use? Super glue? I’ve read several posts regarding gluing trilobites, but I still seem to be doing something wrong. The trilobites are getting an undesirable glossy look. Possibly just applying way too much? If so, how do I remove it?

Acetone will remove super glue. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." BLT
Just now, Fossildude19 said: Acetone will remove super glue. Will it damage the trilobites? I’ve already destroyed at least a dozen while trying to clean them gently with a toothbrush and water. (Tiny bits and pieces have been falling off.) That’s why I started liberally applying the super glue. I even dropped one tiny trilobite between the wood planks of our deck. Ugh.
Fossildude19
If they are very crumbly, then any handling might damage/destroy them. Try using a fine haired painting brush for cleaning, rather than a toothbrush. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Fossildude19
While the second one probably isn't complete, the first looks like a nice little roller. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
