Northeast Arkansas Ammonite?

Two fossils from Northeast Arkansas southern ozarks.Found in shallow red clay wash.Possible ammonite or mabe gastropods I do not know?This area is not known for cephalopod fossils.Lower Ordovician?

I would like to know what others thank. An ID would be great.Thanks.

they certainly look like it!  Could also be small gastropods too, however.  Any chance on a clearer picture? This might allow one to see suture lines

They look to me more like 3-dimensionally spiral gastropods, but a couple of photos from the side would help better decide. As far as I know, the earliest members of the subclass Ammonoidea first appeared during the Devonian Age.

More likely gastropods, as stated.
