Douglas B Hill
Last week I stumbled upon a deposit that might be yielding a bit more. Several bone fragments, a vertebrae (I think), lots of boney plate material, and a small tarsal bone. I have collected this area for years an never found as much in one spot as I did last week. Going back with proper tools for looking further. Wish me luck. 4

Fossildude19
Congratulations! Seems your explorations are beginning to yield some dividends. Not easy to hunt in the Triassic of the Eastern USA. Congratulations again. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Douglas B Hill
Yes this is in NC, but was intentionally vague. I have been hunting this spot for almost 30 years. This is only the second time I know that a vertebrate has been found there.

I am not sure about the supergroup. I would need to do more research on that aspect. This is the Durham Basin of the Triassic Basin. This area is beginning to explode with construction. Perhaps more sites will open.
