Hi, All.

I came across this yesterday, but couldn't make heads nor tails of it....  I want to think it's not a bone - one side is very smooth, while the other has a tone of small stones attached to it - but the view of the inside has me wondering....  Thanks for looking at it, and telling me what I'm looking at.  I seem to have a really long learning curve!

Thats ok it does look like bone do you know where it was found? overall asking so you can have some idea as to what it is, but anything above chunk-o-saurus is unlikely for identification.

Thanks Matt

Location was the usual "Agadez".  I was thrown by the rough almost-rock face on the non-smooth side....  Thanks for your feedback!

but it's safe to say that it's a dino of some kind, and definitely a bone?  or just that it's a bone?  Thank you!

Does indeed look like bone. Hard to tell what type of bone or what animal it's from. There don't seem to be much of diagnostic features present.
