Rankin21
Hi guys, I’ve just found this from the Lourinhã formation in Portugal, I was exploring one of the beaches and found this in the mud/siltstone bed. Sorry im in my camper so didn’t have a measure with me. But the ear bud I used to clean it is 7cm long. The fossil (?) is roughly 4cm long and 1.5cm width and roughly 1.5cm deep. I know there’s been dinosaur fossils and eggs found in the same bed and this looks very much like bone to me? Thanks for any help guys

Rockwood
A shot of the brokenest end would help confirm it , but yea that's a bone.
Rankin21
Thanks so much guys! Here’s a couple of photos I got of the broken end. I guess there’s no way of finding out what the bones from for such a small piece?
Rockwood
End of a limb bone would be a fair bet. What animal will be tougher to guess though.
