adriano
After the Velociraptor skull, I finally finished another very long project: the baby T. rex skull designed by Inhuman Species, a 3D printed museum quality fossil replica of a 2-3 years old Tyrannosaurus rex. I really love this project and I made a video of the making from the 3D printing to the painting - I hope you like it. If you're wondering, I 3D printed the skull with the Alfawise U30 in PLA plastic; please watch the video and turn on subtitles to learn more about the tools and the making processes. If your're addicted or interested in 3D printing, you can't miss those topics:
The Amateur Paleontologist
Excellent work Adriano! That's a really beautiful and detailed replica Just to know, what specimen is the replica based on? -Christian Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy! Q. Where do dinosaurs study? A. At Khaan Academy!... My ResearchGate profile
LordTrilobite
A fantastic sculpture. But so far no conclusive baby rex skulls have been found. Only baby Bob comes close, but that's just fragments and a jaw. It's also not published yet. So without a specimen it's still mostly a speculative sculpture. Edit: It says on the link that the sculpture is mostly based on Chomper and Trix. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
