Can you find fossilized shark teeth on the beaches of South Africa?

Hi there TFF!

 

I am really hoping somebody here might have some information in regards to hunting fossilized shark teeth in South Africa. The only location I have been able to dig up (no pun intended) online is on Milnerton beach however I am wondering if anyone has had any luck on other beaches here in South Africa.

Yeah we were there when they were examining the sevengill sharks on the coast here in Betty's Bay! We have a pair of orcas hunting them..

I have found fossilized bone fragments, section of whale ear bone, shells etc. in the Port Owen / Veldrift area along the Berg river banks. Sounds like shark teeth are also found there.

A local also told me of picking up shark teeth on the beach between Saldanha and Langebaan (used to be where the proto Berg river entered the ocean)
