Randyw
I put in some time on the second of my three new skulls. It’s the one in the first picture above. The matrix is a little harder on this one but still not too bad I think it’s the most complete of my new skulls. There’s still a long way to go on her but I’m fairly pleased with her considering the price. Her names Tina I think. The third of the three scares me looking at it it may be nothing but skull cap and one fang. But I won’t know until I work on him. I’m dubbing him fang I think. So introducing....Tina! 1

FossilNerd
Tina actually looks a little better than I thought she would. Nice! You have a whole family going there... Randyw
Well....I did some aggressive searching on fang and as I feared there’s nothing but the top of the skull from the eyes forward and the fang....sigh... I found a few shards of bone in the matrix but nothing that amounts to anything... but seeing as how he was basically free I’m not too disappointed! LOL! I just need to decide how much more time to devote to him...

Ruger9a
What a great gift! I'm happy to see someone else likes Oreodont fossils as much as me. Here is one of my projects - it's still in process. 1

Randyw
I got two new partial Oreodont skulls to prep in the last two days. The first one the left profile is smashed badly but a have a number of pieces that I think will comprise a portion of it. But I love the right profile! And it’s a variety I didn’t have yet! Prepping fun and a new type for my collection! Score! 1
Randyw
The second one is more of a partial. But I thought they were a good deal so I’m happy!

FossilNerd
Awesome Randy! I’m glad to see more entries in this thread. That first one looks like a real puzzle. I agree that its right profile looks great! Please keep us updated on your progress. Ruger9a
I've got a couple of "one siders" and they make nice displays. I am interested in the finished products as well, please keep posting your progress.
Randyw
Played hooky from things I should have done today so I could work on one of my skulls. The right side is looking pretty good the left is heavily destroyed. As I name a lot of my skulls this one I’ve dubbed two face. (I was watching Batman when I thought up the name don’t judge me LOL!) still a few loose parts and some beauty work to go but I like him! 4
caldigger
The name fits. It does remind me of the Batman character. Happy on one side and sort of an evil smirk on the other. It should be ready just in time for you to be my Secret Santa.

Randyw
I wish I had an endless supply! I am constantly on the look out for more! These two I actually found on a selling sight that sounds like a river in South America. There are a few more pieces there but they are pretty rough or too expensive for what’s left... Randyw
Awwww man! I’m sorry all! I completely forgot I had this thread going! I’m still prepping. Mainly oreodont skulls and fish.but I have a couple crabs, a bunch of crab claws, and some miscellaneous snails etc waiting in the wings. my current oreodont family (some still need finishing) and the second picture are some in various stages of prep on my prep table I need to start making some stands for them so they display better.
