jgj1120789
So I found this (left) today on the beach. I’m kind of disgusted because it sure looks like a human tooth to me lol...but I wanted to make sure before I throw this thing out. the one on the right I also found today...and I put it in the picture just to feel a little less gross about todays adventure in the event that the one on the left is, in fact, a human tooth. Lol. Thanks in advance!
daves64
Could be a tooth from a Sheepshead or Pacu fish. They look like human teeth. They can be found along the Atlantic coastal area in North & South America. Accomplishing the impossible means only that the boss will add it to your regular duties. Mark Kmiecik
Nice finds, and welcome to the forum. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
Ladybug1k
Hi, found your photo with a Google search. I joined so I could comment. I found a tooth just like it a few years ago. This is the first time I have found anything when I've tried to research it. Like you, I thought it was a human fosdilized tooth. I heald onto it so I could hopefully find out more info eventually. Personally, I thought it was more "cool" than gross, wondering how old it was, etc. I haven't been able to find any other info on the subject of fossilized pacu teeth......anyone know where I could find out more, maybe how old it might be?
