A less successful outing in Oakville

Recommended Posts

Well, I went back to photograph a 'worm' that I saw in April when I started this hobby. A few weeks of experience tell me that it is simply a crinoid stem! Alas. No other fossils in Oakville stream bed. Only a little coral-type thing in a rock in somebody's front lawn.

Then it started pouring and I got soaked to the skin. It was a long, cold walk home in the deluge.

It is outings like this that you need to have to balance the spectacular ones.

Fossil hunting is like fishing -- sometimes they just aren't biting. The nice thing about fossil hunting, though, is that they don't run away when you shoot at them. :heartylaugh:
