"Bored Husband" fossil hunt strategy

Today was gorgeous west of Toronto. But there was shopping to do, so I drove but nipped away for "bored husband" fossil hunt in parking lots, etc. Didn't have a ruler or my brushes.

Photographed fossils at a flooded yacht club parking area, a lakeside promenade, a garden nursery, and at 2 stones guarding an exotic tree business parking area. Some images are attached.

Pretty good for just "nipping away"...

Is that a Maclurites snail in the 2nd pic?

I'm just starting with fossils, so I don't know one snail from the next. So I'll consider that a good tip for future research.

If anyone is so brave, here are the details:

Less than 3 cm in diameter, and near Oakville, Ontario. However, the colours and textures and a nearby snail bed look exactly like the "Orillia Armour stone" at Tannery Point, so I presume that this is not the usual Georgian Bay Ordovician material we see just west of Toronto. Three more images attached for context.

@Wrangellian, not likely Maclurites, as that gastropod spirals the opposite way. If that was local to me, I would lean towards Liospira.
