Pic 2 of 6...Smaller Animal Bone found in Garden

It is some kind of phalanx. What sort of material was it found in? Does it seem heavy for its size or is it light?

Hi Paleoworld-101,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my pics and reply. I found the two phalanx bones in my garden bed (mud/mixed material). Not much weight to them at all...extremely lightweight.

Probably modern. I'm guessing small mammal or turtle

Hi Paleo and Hemipristis,

I'm unable to tell if the bones are hollow or solid...as they're in tact.  Somebody suggested a sheep phalanx???  I may be digging up remains/material, of what was an "archaeological Midden"...from Native people who lived n my region.  So very Interesting!  Thank you so much for the feedback!
