Colorado River Texas

From the top picture it looks like an ammonite which I know occur down on the Colorado but the detailed pic makes me think not.

It honestly looks like a pineapple. There are sections attached to a solid base.  The clusters are either diamond shaped or rosettes. I can't find anything similar other than coral, but nothing matches those pictures or drawings either.

Thank you  for the confirmation.  I've found other fossils on the river but nothing as large or interesting. I was incredibly excited to find it.  Wishing I had taken more geology classes in college! Thanks for your help!
