JulianoLPD
Hi there, What would that piece be? Received it in a lot labeled just as saw fish. Any guesses? Also, it looks like it's been glued or something, right? Thanks in advance, Juliano

Tidgy's Dad
Yes, looks like Onchopristis numidus , an Upper Cretaceous sawfish from Morocco. And yes, it looks like several pieces have been glued together, but whether it's all the same original tooth I am uncertain. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend. LordTrilobite
Yup, a sawfish tooth. Yes it does appear to have been glued. The pieces do seem to fit pretty nicely. So I'd say it's more likely to be just repaired rather than it being a composite. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
Haravex
Agreed with Onchopristis numidus as identification for the record these are not teeth but rostral barbs, at 2.75 inches its on the larger size (close to top end) however I have some doubts between what we might call the root and the actual barb it's self as finding either of these pieces separate is common. Personally I would hold on this and maybe think about shopping around before committing to a purchase, just based upon my choice I would not like to have composite pieces in a collection, however if it's a cheep price it might be worth it again entirely up to you.
