MWL Ester
Would greatly appreciate any help in identifying the approximate age of this horse tooth. It was found on Coleto Creek in Goliad County Texas. In the Coastal Bend of Texas. Was just laying in an area where there is not normally water except when the creek floods. Also was hoping to find the scientific name of the horse. Thanks for any help someone could provide !

Fossildude19
A less blurry picture of the chewing surface straight on would be helpful, as well. MWL Ester
It is about 2 1/2 inches long. Maybe 3/4 inch wide. My 7 year old grandson found it on the creek bed behind my house. He loaned it to the local museum which has a temporary display on these types of things. I don’t have access to it at the moment. The museum people could only identify it as a horse tooth. I will go by the museum and see if I can access it to provide more info. GREATLY appreciate your input ..
