I was afraid to brighten them too much or it might wash them out....

Photo 1 and 2 (brightened & cropped) look like a land mammal tooth.

Could #2 be a partial Dire Wolf tooth? I have found one previously and it looked similar to this one.

I will say #1 looks like horse or equine.

#2 looks camelid

#6 might be tip of antler tine.

The rest are questionable as to what.

* Your bonus piece looks cut/sawn on one end likely modern bit that made its way into the river.

I think the problem is that you have your lighting set up so it backlights the objects, which shadows the side you take your pictures on.

Try moving the lights so they shine almost where your shoulders would be to take the shot ( light coming from behind the camera ).

The items are very dark to begin with ( Peace River ) so you would have a hard time "washing them out" with too much light.

  • I found this Informative 1

Here is another photo of the bonus/weird piece. It appears on closer inspection to be part of a jaw bone - there is are circular holes along one edge that suggest tooth sockets. I am guessing it's a piece of whale/dolphin/dugong jaw?

Anyone want to take a stab at some of these before I toss them into the oddball box and forget about them?
