Unknown fossils maybe claws if some sort maybe crocodile?? 

Left fossil:

2.3/4  inches long 

just over an inch wide at the base 

 

right fossil :

2.1/4 inches long 

also one inch at the base

Very interesting!  I do believe the they're bone, but beyond that.. ?  Until the bottom views I would have suggested vertebral processes or large fish fine spine (e.g., marlin), but the bottom views rule that out, I think.

Yeah these are somewhat common in the Charleston area. They come from the tail section of an extinct billfish. I'll pull up the genus here in a sec.

These processes originate near the hypural bone of the extinct Billfish Aglyptorhynchus sp. from the Oligocene.
