Found in South of France

Found two of these similar shaped stones. They both have the resemblance  a tooth. Curious if anyone has any insight. They were found in Charente, France. They seem to be possible internal molds of crustacean. I would greatly appreciate if anyone has any information on this. Thank you!

Interesting. I had not thought of that. This one is maybe around 4 or 5 inches long. If needed I can take an exact measurement. Here is an image of another one found around the same location. Slightly different shape and larger.

Hmm, at 4-5 inches that might be a bit large for deer unless it's something really big like Irish Elk or something.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable of your local fauna of the past with chime in.

They are probably Internal molds of a rudists.

internal mold of rudist, common in Charentes (around Barbezieux, Cognac, ....)

you can see on this picture , rudists in the walls!!!

Specimen in my collection is 16 long and it's from France.
