Does anyone have any clue what are embedded in this? I've never seen them before.

My first assumption is that they are petrified tree branches, but I wanted to see if there were any other answers.

It's a coral, I agree, possibly solitary rugose coral.

Definitely coral. Fossilized wood looks much different. Nice find.

I agree with most here. First specimen looks to be rugose coral. Second specimen looks like a crinoid stem imprint. There also appears to be a possible impression of a shell next to the crinoid.

+1 - dead on! And it looks like there's something to the right of the crinoid. I'm almost willing to bet there's more on the back side too.
