Dino dentist required to ID this one

This tooth arrived in a box of rocks and minerals from an estate auction. 

 

Any help in identifying it would be most appreciated.

Show a picture directly on the "root" end. At present, this looks more like a water-tumbled rugose coral.

This edge shot does seem to confirm my guess that it is a rugose coral.

Thank you Kane. That is fascinating. It makes sense as there was also a large coral in the box as shown below.

Thank you all for contributing your knowledge to sorting my fossil ID dilemmas. You’re the best! 

 

No promises that I wont be back with more questions, as i started collecting rocks and fossil age 8-16 and now retired and disabled at 60, the passion comes back as strong as ever....and I am open to learn from all the posts made in this forum. Thanks again!
