Hey guys.

This shark tooth is from Reudern, Germany.

It is close to Holzmaden which is Jurassic so I assume it is also Jurassic.

What is it??? Some kind of cow shark but I don’t know the specie. Thanks for any imput.

Kind regards.

Thanks for tagging @Kane !

I know the finder of this piece (by the way @DatFossilBoy. Next time you want to determine a piece but didn't find it personally, it would be nice if you could say that it's not a personal find and that the pictures aren't your pictures...).

Firstly I was a bit confused about that tooth but of course you are right @Pemphix! Never seen such a tooth in my area!

  • I found this Informative 1

Many greetings from Germany ! Have a great time with many fossils :)

Regards Sebastian

Yeah sorry, didn’t think it mattered that much but it’s something I’ll keep in mind for future posts.

The last time I read about muensteri, it was assigned to Notidanoides.  Has it been reassigned to Notidanus by another researcher in the past few years?

That's a beautiful tooth.
