Fossilized buffalo horn? Need some ID help please.

I found this in the wall of a creek in the TX panhandle.  It is 3 1/4 inches long and 2 inches wide at the base.  It weighs 7.5 oz. Not sure what it could be and would love to hear from someone who might have some insight.  Let me know if I can give more information. Thanks so much.

It looks like a geological wonder to me, maybe a cone-in-cone structure.
