Hi! I found this on the beach off the coast of South Carolina! I think it is an alligator tooth or at least some kind of tooth and would like some help identifying it please!

We could use some close up pictures of the opposite side, the top, and the bottom, please. :)

Definitely need clear, crisp, close up photos of all sides and ends in order to make an ID.

Okay so the top photo is the bottom, the second photo is of the side, and the bottom photo is of the top to show that it is hollow on the inside. Hopefully this is actually some sort of tooth otherwise I am just embarrassing myself...!

this picture is blurry and unfortunately I cannot seem to get a clear picture of the bottom :/. I will keep trying!

The more I stare at this .. the more I'm convinced it is a worn Bivalve hinge .. from an oyster perhaps.  And please don't worry ... I embarrass myself on a daily basis.
