Mark Kmiecik Posted June 29, 2019 Share Posted June 29, 2019 Google "animal vertebrae" and look at all of the images. Then Google "fish vertebrae". You should notice similarities in many species and differences in others. How fish differ from reptile and amphibian and mammal, etc. Some paleontologists specialize in vertebrae and nothing else. It takes time, but if you see enough of them often enough you'll get to know them fairly well. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
