Sberebit
Please help identify the fossil below. It was found in glacial till/drift in South Bend, Indiana. Approximately 8cm across and 4cm wide. Please note the hangnails in the third picture. I've never had a manicure but I am now debating. Thank you for your help and understanding. caldigger
A bit of lotion rubbed into the affected areas aught to get those bad boys fixed up right nicely. Cant be sure ( and I could be way off ), but I'm seeing an odd preservation of ammonite living chambers for that piece.

Could do with some crisper closeups. I sharpened this up a bit: 2 Tarquin

Rockwood
For hangnails I recommend super glue as preventive maintenance.
Mark Kmiecik
Bits of a rolled trilobite???? Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

I suppose the macaroni like features may be corals, but there are not enough details to make a more precise ID. I can't conclude properly according to the pictures posted. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. Here's a Syringopora of mine that does that (old photos so not the best...). Tubes about 2mm diameter . 4 Tarquin
