Help identifying

partial steinkern of cucculea clam. There is matrix filling what should be a gap between the curved parts of the steinkern at the top of your pic. This is from the Peedee formation so you must be near the methodist? access?

  Also: you should post your inquiries seeking identification in the ID section of the forum for quicker responses. A lot of folks don't look here often.

He's right. It's a clam. We used to find these in the SC waterway cuts when I was a kid... we called them turtle heads. Ha!
