mussof
Found this in Central Texas in a creek today and I think it might be a claw. Any other info would be very appreciated.
FranzBernhard
Welcome to TFF from Austria! This seems to be a piece of limestone. But it could be also a fossil: Possibly a steinkern (internal cast), maybe the steinkern of a rudist. These are abundant in some formations of Texas. But I am not totally sure, what your specimen really is (except that it is not a claw). Franz Bernhard
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Definitely not a claw. No bone texture to the item. I agree with weathered limestone. Ludwigia
I agree with the others. A suggestively shaped piece of weathered limestone. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Mark Kmiecik
Not a claw, but it may have some fossil material from the looks of it. Could you post photos of the other sides and ends? Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
Benjaminpb
I'm from Austin and I agree that it's a suggestive piece of lime stone. I unfortunately have been fooled in the past as well.

Mark Kmiecik
Part of a coiled cephalopod, possibly ammonite. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
