I found this fossil it kind of looks like a curled up tail of a crayfish but I’m uncertain.

This could also be a complete specimen with the separate septal chambers starting at the inner whorls of the phragmocone and the living chamber at the end.

looks like Eutrephoceras sp.  They're known at least from the Eocene down them parts.  Sweet find!

Basically it’s the fossilized shell of an ancient sea creature. A type of nautiloid. Here is a picture of a species that is still alive today called a nautilus.

Yeah i found it in Pawleys island prolly 15-20 mins from Myrtle beach. Can anyone identify the type of rock that it’s fossilized in?

Looks like a sedimentary rock, probably limestone.
