PLB9eight
First tooth is very white. I would assume it’s a fossil but can anyone give me a better opinion of whether it’s modern or fossilized. Mako maybe? The second tooth I’m just not sure on an ID. Tip is broken off. Both of these were found this week in the surf at Myrtis Beach, SC. Brett Breakin' Rocks
Hi there ... welcome to the forum. The first is a sand tiger shark tooth and the second broken one is from a Carcharhinus sp. A requiem shark. Both fossils. Cheers, Brett
Macrophyseter
I agree with sand tiger and requiem sharks. If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!
