Lourhina therapod tooth

Pterygotus

Recommended Posts

I recently saw this therapod indet. tooth for sale from the Lourinhã formation, Portugal. It measures 21.99mm x 10.40mm x 3.78mm. How does it look and are those lines cracks/wear or natural? Also does anyone have any idea on the ID? How is the quality and should I consider buying it or pass it on?

Tooth is rare and not in the best condition, its missing the base and the serrations are poor making identification difficult.  The cracks are a result of preservation and weathering.   Sounds like a broken record but you cannot identify jurassic theropod teeth from photographs.
